Stacking the Shelves #86

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews
Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! Click on the link under the book to find its page on Goodreads or Smashwords.

Please note that I always leave a message on your STS/SP if you visit me, but if you use DISQUS or a similar third party I will not be able to leave a comment on your page. And sometimes, I have problems leaving messages on blogs hosted by Wordpress so you might get a double message sometimes! Blame them, not me!

This has been a quieter week at the Book Cave. There was restraint in what I picked up-a few interesting sounding downloads, and the last of the mountain climbing books that I ordered arrived from Amazon which was good. I have a few urban fantasy books ordered which should arrive for next week's STS hopefully. I could not resist the sound of Sharcano...who doesn't want to read about sharks made of lava popping out of a volcano to kill people? Expect to see THAT on the Sci-Fy Channel very soon! I like the sound of the Alex Hughes series so I grabbed a pile of them.  It's a small haul but there are some interesting reads there!

    2. Sorry Liza, because you use DISQUS, I am unable to leave comments on your blog posts. I never give third party things like this acess to my social networking sites. Sorry! Thanks for visiting though!

  3. Sharks popping out of volcanos?! OKAY. THAT SOUNDS INTENSE. XD You're definitely in for an Alex Hughes binge-read, eh?! ;-) I've actually never successfully binge-read a series! The most I've read is like 3 books by the same author in a month. Gah. I get distracted so so easily. >.>

    1. Yeah it sounds a bit mad but the reviews say it is funny and gory AND it was free on Amazon so I figured I'd try it anyway! Next month I plan reading binges on a few series I started but never finished or got caught up with. I'm looking forward to it I think...!

  6. I have not heard of the Alex Hughes books. They look like the Harry Dresden covers a little bit. Great stack.

    1. The covers do remind me of Harry Dresden-I wasn't a fan of the first Dresden book but I did like the talking skull thing! I found it a bit too much like a crime novel. I might revisit again in the future.

    1. I don't find time to keep up with them! That's how I'm back up to 600 books on the tbr waiting to be read! Ugh! Still, better to be addicted to books than other things!

  14. Sharcano sounds fun, although I wonder if stories like that won't work better on tv, so curious to hear what you think of the book. I hope you'll enjoy your new mountain climbing books and hope you have a great week!

  17. Great idea to get so many books in the same series, Chuckles, you'll be able to stay in that universe for quite a while. I hope you'll enjoy all your new additions :
