Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews
Stacking The Shelves is all about
sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical
or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store
or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books,
gifts and of course ebooks! Click on the link under the book to find its page on Goodreads or Smashwords.
Please note that I always leave a
message on your STS/SP if you visit me, but if you use
DISQUS or a similar third party I will not be able to leave a comment on your page. And
sometimes,
I have problems leaving messages on blogs hosted by
Wordpress.
The last of the dvds that my dad and I bought from Amazon's current sales arrived yesterday in one of those lovely big brown boxes that you can't wait to rip into! We spent a little more than intended but it has been a shitty year, and with us not exchanging presents for Christmas this year or celebrating at all, we figured a treat was in order. Finding the time to watch this stuff will be tough with so much reading to do! On the book side of things the plan to catch up on some series is ongoing though the last two days I've taken a break from that to go and attack a few books on my ereaders. So it has still been a good reading week.
I'm not buying any more paperbacks from Amazon until the festive season is over with because if the weather turns bad, the post goes into chaos with missing items and long delays so I'll only be getting the odd book for my ereaders until January. I've already read Total Recall which I liked. So the preordered books which arrived this week might be the last I receive unless there are others that I forgot about! The Spirit series might be too fantasy for my tastes but I'm giving it a try. The first three covers are beautiful but the last two are totally blah and ruin it!

I'm curious about the spirit thied, it's in my wishlist. I'm so late in the Henry and Estep series, I need to go back to them. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI've only read the first book in the Estep and Henry series so I'm probably way behind you!
DeleteInteresting haul as usual! :-) I hope you enjoy your new additions! (By the way, the snowflakes come with my blog in the December months! I'm not clever enough to make that happen!)
ReplyDeleteI wish my blog came with the free snowflakes! They are very cool...
DeleteNice haul this week! I hope you enjoy them all!
ReplyDeleteI sure hope so! Need to read faster though!
DeleteI always love finding the freebies on Amazon. There are always some good ones in there. Great stack of books.

If I had the time to go through my entire wishlist for amazon bargains, my Kindle might overload!
DeleteOkay, I have to admit, I chuckled at the title of Arnold's bio. Pretty clever. :)
ReplyDeleteHere's how I'm Stacking the Shelves this week.
It was a pretty interesting book. You don't realise just how hard he had to work to get all the big breaks.
DeleteFreebies are always great. Heard good things about Jennifer Estep but haven't read any of her books yet. Enjoy! Happy Holidays & Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteMy Stack
I've read the first book in this Jennifer Estep series and really liked it. I'm looking forward to having time to catch up with the other books soon!
DeleteMost are new to me. I hope you enjoy them!

I only heard about the Spirit books yesterday when I saw them on someone's blog but it sounded intriguing.
DeleteA most excellent haul this week! And I agree about those boxes from Amazon. Woot! And then the cats like them after they've been emptied. lol Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI used to play more with the empty boxes as a kid than the presents inside them! Sorry for the late response-it's been one of those weeks.
DeleteI really need to get on with reading Jennifer Estep's works, I've been meaning to for a while. Nice to see you picked up Rachel Aaron's work, too! Hope you enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteYeah I figured I would try something different-though my book experiments rarely seem to work!
